Kitchen remodeling towns around New Bern

Several of these communities share a New Bern mailing address, but they do not share a rulebook. A home in downtown New Bern deals with the City's Development Services and, for exterior work, the Historic Preservation Commission. A home in River Bend deals with town zoning and with county inspections. Fairfield Harbour adds an owners association, and Havelock has its own city department. Knowing which office applies before you start can save weeks.

The houses differ too. The oldest homes in Craven County are close to where the Neuse and Trent rivers meet. Some have heart-pine floors, tall windows and wiring that needs attention.
